So sorry I can't be there but you are on my mind and heart. I love you sweetie. Rest in PARADISE.

I was always taught that The Good Lord knows best and that we are not to question why. This is really hard to grasp. The Lord knows that I miss my sister. She was my baby; the baby of our family. I feel so helpless knowing that I couldn't help her, or go with her on her journey. I loved, and always will love it, my sister. The good thing that I can take away from this is that, I know she is with our parents, and they are now taking care of her again. Rest in Heaven, my Baby. Love, Your oldest sister, Claritha

    Love You Claritha....

To Covington/Fortune Family So sorry I am not there with you to see my friend one more time. Mittie was my first friend when we moved to Ypsilanti. She and I would get up early in the morning and make the best mud-pies ever. Then We would sell them for a nickel to Mr. Fortune. As we got older and went to WJHS, the boys wanted to know who would win if we would fight. Mitte and I faced each other and Terry drew a line that we had to cross. We still would not cross that line so they pushed us into each other Mittie started to fight. I just grabbed her hand. I was not going to fight my mud-pie friend. I did not say a word, and afterwards, We walked home together. And now you have walked away not saying a word. My mud-pie making friend, I will miss you. Your kids will always be in my prayers. Love, Rose Collins-Vawters

My GOD, Mitty, my heart aches. My BFF since were 10 years old. I feel so blessed to have gotten back in contact with you after all those years. We laughed and talked as if no time had passed (1980). To Michele and Zakiya I grieve with you all and pray for.your gradual healing; Aletha (Letha) also you and her siblings. May God's love and protection bring peace. Love, B. Jaki Jones-McClendon
