Wow, I was really sorry to hear about your dad. He was one of the best. He loved you. May he R.I.P.

You were a one in a million kind soul, my friend, since 1982 @ Detroit Edison. I’m rocked to the core in shock. There will never be anyone like you. Dian, Lawanda and A.J., his love for you is eternal, until we join in a time of Adoration. The hour is sooner than when we first believed. May Christ comfort you with His peace and His strength; and He will do it. Amen. Much love to his entire family and his many friends. It is a deeply felt loss as he was a fierce lover of people, and such a fun person! My heart goes out to everyone in pain, as am I. I’ll never forget his big wonderful smile, as the picture of him shows. God be with you all. He is safe in Jesus’ arms.

The best brother in-law in the world. When you get to heaven tell everyone we said hello.

Al will ALWAYS be GREATLY remembered as the kind and loving soul. He is home with his Father. Until you/we meet again in a time of Adoration. The hour closer than when we first believed. God will lift you, Dian, Lawanda, A.J., grandchildren, and extended family & friends. Keep God first place and may you feel the Lord’s mighty and loving presence. We know that Al is safe and blissfully in His Savior Jesus’ Arms. May Christ shower you with comfort and strength. We know Al was a lover of life; his smile, friendship and heart was a blessing to know since 1982 at Detroit Edison. I’m deeply sorry for the pain of your immense loss. We are all better people for having known him and he will always be SO VERY missed.

Deacon Al Johnson was a very good friend. Deacon and family, man.....He will be highly missed.....

I am devastated and shocked by the news of the passing of Al. Al has been my dear friend since I met him in 1992 when I worked with him at Detroit Edison. As all of us know, Al was one of the kindest men that ever existed. He was truly a friend and was always willing to lend an ear and offer support and advise. He did everything with a smile and a joyous laugh that I will never forget. Al always talked about his family with such pride and love. There will never be another one like him; he was an Angel on Earth and now he is an Angel in Heaven.
