    Age 56, passed on March 20, 2019.  Public visitation will be Thursday, March 28, 2019, from 4 pm to 8 pm at C&H Community Home for Funerals, Lucille’s Memorial Chapel, 411 S. Adams Street, Ypsilanti.  The funeral service will be Friday, March 29, 2019, with the family hour at 10 am followed by the service at 11 am at Free Methodist Church, 1800 Packard Road, Ypsilanti.  Cremation.  Please sign the guestbook below.

    He was an amazing man and I will miss him very much. My thoughts and prayers are with the Bates family

    Heaven sure did get a good one. Words cannot even express just how much my life was enriched because of Norman (Moshe). He made me want to be better just by merely being in his presence. He was loved and will be missed by so many. I never not once heard a bad word about Norman. He was my heart... miss u already my friend. When you spoke, we listened. You helped countless people. Those sure are some lucky people there with you at the big table in the sky. Love always..

    Dear Family of Norman Moshe Bates, Sending you all my deepest condolences for the loss of your family member. Moshe, as I knew him, was a dear man, and a wonderful friend. Thank you so much for sharing him with the rest of the world. My prayers are with you all, hoping and wishing that you will have the love and support of each other, as well as the community of the people, who were loved by and who loved Norman Moshe.     I have known Norm/Moshay for several years now and feel blessed he was in was in my life path. An awesome man who will be missed. Whenever he shared at a meeting, Norm was one I listened to! Always such a grounded, wise person with so much to give to others. He helped me immensely in my spiritual journey and showed by words and example how to navigate life while maintaining a wonderful outlook and some semblance of sanity.

    Prayers going up for you, my family I met you guys at Irwin Magnetic. An awsome family. Great part in my life. Love my Norman so much. I saw him gave me an update on his son [my godson] ss. Proud dad. Stay strong. Love yall.
