Ivory LaToya Moore was born on August 31st, 1981, in Ypsilanti MI at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, to her devoted mother Kristin Moore and late father Johnny Ray Ford. Ivory LaToya Moore attended Ypsilanti High School and participated in Track and Art.

Ivory was joined in marriage to Jorge Vasquez and throughout there 27 years together 3 beautiful children were born, two daughters Tatyana Vasquez, Jayla Vasquez and one son Jorge Vasquez Jr.

Ivory was a woman who was very passionate about her family, whose love had no bounds. Ivory’s close family and friends called her “Toya”, growing up she enjoyed riding her Smurf's big wheel for countless hours smiling and enjoying life. Ivory had great strength and wisdom within her family circle, always lent an ear and was ready to listen without judgement or hesitation. Her advice was sought by many because they knew that she spoke from a place of deep understanding and empathy. Ivory loved to travel which took her far and wide. She experienced new cultures while simply enjoying life rather than shying away from these opportunities. Her favorite place to travel was to Honduras with her family. She cherished every moment spent discovering new places with loved ones by her side. She stood on speaking her mind and keeping it real. She was fearless in facing life’s challenges head on with unwavering confidence and inspiration. Ivory enjoyed cooking, hosting gatherings and planning events for family. Ivory enjoyed watching tv shows with excitement, mystery and romance. Ivory was blessed and had devotion to her family and friends. Ivory had inspiration and a contagious smile and limitless laughter, which lit up any room and brought joy into the lives of those around her.
