    Age 84, passed on November 18, 2017.  He is survived by his wife Sandra Hawthorne.  The public visitation will be held on Friday, December 1, 2017 from 4 pm to 7 pm at C&H Community Home for Funerals,  Lucille’s Memorial Chapel, 411 S. Adams St., Ypsilanti.  The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2017 with the Family Hour at 10 am and the Funeral Service at 11 am at MT. Olive Baptist Church, 35565 Beverly Rd., Romulus, MI.  Burial will be at Great Lakes National Cemetery of Holly, Michigan.  Please sign his guestbook below.

    I am sorry that our husband died but why he was here he made me happy. I hope you didn't get upset with me about that call him my husband too. Love you both. I pray you to rest now. I am so proud of you for you doing your best for him. He married the best.

    Ed, you will be truly missed!! We Loved you unconditionally and were there with you through all your illness. You might not have been my father by blood, but you were just as much as a real father. We "all" will be in the presence of GOD one day...hopefully we have all lived our lives and treated others as you have. No regrets!!!

    Ed, you will be truly missed!! We loved you unconditionally. We were there through all your illness and was glad to be a part of your life for over 10yrs. You might not have been a father by blood, but you were just as much as a real father. We "all" will be in the presence of "GOD" one day, hopefully we all have treated others with respect and love. GOD, wouldn't have it any other way. Hopefully.....we all will be ready!! NO REGRETS❤❤

    Grandpa Ed, We will truly miss you! It was such a joy having you in our lives. I remember the past holidays filled with good times and laughter. Myself and your great grands will always remember your smile and laugh. Until next time, rest in heaven. We will always love you.
