    Age 54, passed on January 21, 2017.  Public view will be Friday, January 27, 2017 from 4-7 pm at C&H Community Home for Funerals, Lucille’s Memorial Chapel, 411 S. Adams St., Ypsilanti.  The funeral service will be Saturday, January 28, 2017 with the family hour at 10 am followed by the service at 11 am at New Christian Love Fellowship International, 1601 Stamford Rd., Ypsilanti.  Burial to follow in United Memorial Gardens, Plymouth.  Please sign her guestbook below.

    I will miss my beloved friend, co-worker "VAL" from Detroit East Community Mental health. What a caring person she was. I am praying God's Healing salves every where It's Hurt especially for her husband, children, grand children, Mother, family and friends. Love and Peace. Phyllis

    To: The Duffin Family. I am sorry for your lost. May you find comfort in God's word the Bible. Jesus said: At John 6:40 For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who recognizes the Son and exercises faith in him should have everlasting life, and I will resurrect him (her) on the last day. May the hope and promises in this Scripture bring you comfort and strength to endure the difficult days ahead.

    It seems so hard right now. I miss you so much. Your smile is forever etched in my mind. My sister my friend you were the good part of me. Her smile and spirit was her LEGACY. Therefore, she will always be in our hearts and lives. She truly inspired anyone that knew her.     We will always remember Valerie as a person who carried herself with grace and dignity. She loved her family, served her community, and was always true to her faith.
